Bianca Belair Confused Despite WWE Elimination Chamber Win
It was a strange night for Bianca Belair.
At Elimination Chamber, Bianca Belair emerged victorious from the famous structure, earning a shot at the Women’s World Title at WrestleMania in the process.
During the match, Belair only eliminated one rival, but it was the only one that mattered as she pinned Liv Morgan to claim the win. Morgan had begun the match and battled for just under 30 minutes before ultimately falling short.
However, the other major story coming out of the match involved Jade Cargill’s surprise return to destroy Naomi. Before the action could even begin, Cargill made her comeback to batter Naomi and finished by crushing her with the chamber door.
When Cargill was taken out of action in November, she had been one half of the Women’s Tag Team Champions with Belair. And in her absence, Naomi had stepped up to team with Belair so she wouldn’t have to give up the gold.
So it’s no surprise that Belair was left with mixed emotions as the show went off the air.
Bianca Belair Is Struggling To Celebrate
Speaking during the Elimination Chamber post-show event, Belair admitted to feeling conflicted about the night’s events, commenting that she’s trying to avoid jumping to conclusions.
“I was so confused. Honestly, I was very confused. I feel like I still need answers for that. I didn’t understand what was happening. Naomi and I, we were very sure that Liv [Morgan] did that, and Naomi pushed to me that Liv and Raquel did that. But when I got back from my match, Naomi wasn’t there because she was stretchered out, and Jade wasn’t there.
So I feel like I need to talk to both of them before I jump to conclusions right now. I’m not really understanding what’s happening. I don’t really believe that Jade would watch me team up with Naomi, knowing that she did that. I truly don’t believe that Naomi would do something like that. I’ve known her for a very long time. I don’t know.
Tonight was just very bittersweet. I’m trying to focus on WrestleMania, but it’s very bittersweet.”
During the same press conference, Triple H admitted the storytelling around Jade Cargill had been “odd” but said this stemmed from not knowing when she would return to television. He went on to suggest that nothing for WrestleMania is “locked in,” adding that one of the women’s title matches could still main event the spectacular.
