Bianca Belair Reveals How She Reacted To Jade Cargill Joining WWE
Bianca Belair explains why she was so excited when Jade Cargill signed with WWE.
When Jade Cargill decided to sign with WWE in late 2024 instead of staying with AEW, it led to a lot of fans thinking about potential dream matches for Jade in WWE.
One of the dream matches many fans may have wanted to see was Cargill against Bianca Belair since they are two strong, black women who are extremely athletic and talented in the ring.
Instead of putting them in a match as opponents, WWE has made Belair & Cargill a tag team. The duo won a six-woman tag team match together (with Naomi) at WrestleMania 40 earlier this year.
At Backlash France in early May, Bianca Belair & Jade Cargill became WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions. It was Cargill’s first title in WWE while it was Belair’s first time as a Women’s Tag Team Champion to add to her three reigns as a singles Women’s Champion.
While speaking at Fanatics Fest recently, Bianca Belair said she was very excited about Cargill joining WWE.
“Some people might want to be the only one and want to get all the opportunities but that’s a lot of responsibility and I can’t represent for all black people; I can’t and I don’t want to. I was very excited when Jade came and I felt like she was going to take WWE by storm — no pun intended — but I think it’s very important. It’s very important for representation, for diverse representation, and I was even more excited when I was presented with the opportunity to tag with Jade.”
“I know a lot of people even before she came to WWE they were like, ‘Oh, that’s a dream match, Bianca versus Jade’ and I’m like, ‘Everybody always wants what they can’t have,’ but now it could be a possibility.”
Bianca Belair & Jade Cargill Will Attempt To Win Back WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles
As mentioned above, Belair & Cargill were Women’s Tag Team Champions together. Unfortunately, the duo lost the titles after a 42-day reign when they were in a triple threat match where neither one of them was pinned.
At WWE Bash in Berlin on Saturday, August 31st, Belair & Cargill get their shot to win back the Women’s Tag Team Titles when they challenge Alba Fyre & Isla Dawn for the gold. The Bash in Berlin lineup is below.
* World Heavyweight Championship: GUNTHER (c) vs. Randy Orton
* Undisputed WWE Championship: Cody Rhodes (c) vs. Kevin Owens
* Strap Match: Drew McIntyre vs. CM Punk
* Damian Priest & Rhea Ripley vs. Dominik Mysterio & Liv Morgan
* Women’s Tag Team Championships: Alba Fyre & Isla Dawn (c) vs. Bianca Belair & Jade Cargill
