Bianca Belair & Jade Cargill’s Title Reign Ends At WWE Clash At The Castle

Jade Cargill & Bianca Belair are no longer WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions after a shocking result at Clash at the Castle.

In just her second WWE match, Jade Cargill formed a dream team with Bianca Belair and Naomi at WrestleMania 40 where they defeated Asuka, Dakota Kai, and Kairi Sane of Damage CTRL. At Backlash France in May, Cargill and Belair teamed up again to defeat The Kabuki Warriors for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship giving Jade Cargill the first gold of her WWE career.

But champions don’t have long to celebrate in the world of wrestling and very soon Shayna Baszler and Zoey Stark won a four-way match to become the next contenders for the title. That match took place on the 3rd of June edition of Raw but ended in disqualification when the Unholy Union of Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn attacked both teams.

After another brawl broke out on the following SmackDown, Belair and Cargill consulted with SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis before announcing they’d face both the Unholy Union and Baszler & Stark for the gold at Clash at the Castle.

Isla Dawn & Alba Fyre Win WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles

The women’s triple threat match had rules where three women were legal in the match while the others had to stay on the apron until their partner tagged them in. It was like a regular triple threat match where the first fall wins the match.

There was a lot of action throughout the match. Early on Belair & Cargill dominated, so then the two other teams worked together to try to take out the champions.

Belair & Cargill hit their double team finisher that ends with a German Suplex on Baszler, but Cargill was unable to make the cover because Dawn gave Cargill a German Suplex. Dawn would go on to cover Baszler for the pinfall win which meant that Isla Dawn & Alba Fyre were the new Women’s Tag Team Champions.

The team of Fyre & Dawn celebrated with loved ones at ringside while also getting cheered heavily by the fans since the team is from Scotland.
