Becky Lynch’s WWE Run Is Over According To Hall Of Famer
Becky Lynch is the reigning WWE Women’s Intercontinental Champion. Her reign began in June 2025, when she captured the title from Lyra Valkyria in a hard-fought singles match at Money in the Bank. Her victory over Nikki Bella at Clash in Paris on August 31, 2025, marked another successful defense in the series of victories she’s had over the past few months.
As a heel, Lynch has aligned herself with her husband Seth Rollins’ faction “The Vision.” She helped Rollins retain the WWE World Heavyweight Championship against CM Punk, Jey Uso, and LA Knight during the main event in Paris, France. The Man looks to be on a roll in WWE, yet Hall of Famer Kevin Nash believes that her best days are behind her.
Kevin Nash Criticizes Becky Lynch’s RAW Promo
Becky Lynch delivered a controversial promo on the August 25 edition of Monday Night Raw in Birmingham, where she referenced Ozzy Osbourne’s death and the city’s reputation.
Speaking on his Kliq This podcast, Nash explained that the newest Vision member seemed desperate in the promo, and he disapproved of speaking ill of the dead. He noted the backlash Becky Lynch received both from fans and Ozzy’s daughter, Kelly Osbourne, who criticized the promo online.
Nash concluded that while Lynch did not directly insult the Osbourne family, straying into edgy territory for attention doesn’t necessarily benefit WWE’s image, especially now that shareholders have a stake in the product.
He said, “I think her run’s over. I think she’s grasping at desperation. I think the business has passed her by. I don’t think that she said anything that was derogatory to Ozzy. I don’t see how they always say, ‘Oh, any kind of publicity is good publicity.’ I don’t know, man.”
“I mean, when somebody passes and you fuck with the family. And the daughter is the one that makes the comment, I don’t think that’s exactly the look that the WWE or its shareholders, which I’m one of. I’m a TKO shareholder. I don’t particularly want that coming out of somebody’s mouth as a shareholder,” he added.
