Becky Lynch has opened up about when she became more than friends with her husband, Seth “Freakin” Rollins.

The 2019 edition of the WWE Royal Rumble was a big night for Becky Lynch and Seth Rollins since both of them won Rumble matches that night. Lynch wasn’t even supposed to be in the Women’s Royal Rumble, but she replaced an injured Lana and ended up winning the match.

That night was also a big night for Lynch and Rollins. Lynch revealed during her A&E Biography Legends documentary that the 2019 Royal Rumble was the first time she kissed Rollins.

According to Lynch, the couple were friends for years before that, but then things got more interesting between them and she was ready for him to make a move.

“I met Colby Lopez (Seth’s real name) my first time on the road. We were on separate shows and we didn’t see each other that often but I always looked forward to seeing him. We started talking and hanging out a little bit more, just talking [and] flirting a little bit more. The first time we kissed was Royal Rumble weekend.”

“He had been flirting with me so much. It was like alright. Put up or shut up. You gonna be about it or you just gonna talk about it? Come on.”

Lynch would give birth to the couple’s daughter named Roux in December. Lynch and Rollins were also married in June 2021 as well.

Could Becky Lynch Retire From WWE?

In a social media post promoting her A&E Biography, Becky Lynch thanked fans for supporting “The Man” and since she used the past tense, it has led to speculation that she might be done in the ring.

“It’s been a helluva career Being the Man for all of you was an honor, being the mom for her is a privilege. Thanks for watching my bio on @AETV.”

On June 1, 2024, Lynch’s WWE contract officially ended and while some people believe she might be back one day, that’s certainly not a given at this point.

As for Lynch’s husband Seth Rollins, he was heavily involved in WWE SummerSlam on Saturday in Cleveland when he was the guest referee for the chaotic Drew McIntyre match with CM Punk.
