Becky Lynch Reacts To Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn’s Big Win – “They’re Like Brothers To Me”
To say that Becky Lynch is happy for Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn would be an understatement.
After months of feuding, building, and teasing, the two Canadians put their differences aside and reunited to fight a common enemy in the Usos.
That feud culminated at WrestleMania 39 when Owens and Zayn defeated Jimmy and Jey Uso. In doing so, Owens and Zayn ended the Usos’ 622-day reign, which is the longest in WWE’s history.
Owens and Zayn got a huge celebration in front of the fans in the main-event of WrestleMania. But their joy only continued backstage as they were joined by their peers, most of whom were just as elated with the win as they were.
One of those happiest for them was Becky Lynch, who described her reaction to ESPN and said that she was crying tears of joy when they came back with the title belts.
“If you saw me afterwards, I was a blubbering mess. I have known those guys since I was 19 years old. We wrestled in front of less than 100 people in Italy. We toured together. I love those guys; they’re like brothers to me.
To know everything that they’ve been through — both individually and together — especially recently. To see them walk out the main event of WrestleMania as champions, as double champions, it just brought, it brought many tears to my eyes.”
As of this writing, it has not been confirmed if the Usos will be exercising any rematch clause or if Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn will be facing new challengers for their titles.
