Becky Lynch Picks Up Unusual Hobby After WWE Exit

Becky Lynch

Becky Lynch has replaced wrestling with a very different sport.

On June 1st, Becky Lynch’s WWE contract expired, leaving her a free agent for the first time in over a decade. Rather than pursuing a deal with another company such as AEW, Lynch reportedly intends to take a lengthy hiatus from wrestling. WWE is said to be confident of working with The Man again if she does decide to return to the ring.

While there have been few updates on the star since her departure, Big Time Becks has now given some insight into her life after wrestling. On Instagram, the star revealed that she has now taken up the unusual sport of pickleball, and compared the surprise move to Michael Jordan leaving basketball for baseball.

“Michael Jordan played baseball. The Man plays pickleball.”

According to Pickleball England, the sport combines elements of badminton, tennis, and ping pong. From the organisation’s website:

“The game is played on a court with the same measurements as badminton doubles. The net is similar to a tennis net, but a little lower. The game is played with a hard “paddle” and a hard, hollow plastic ball with holes in it.”

The site notes that pickleball is “more accessible for children and seniors” than sports like tennis.

New WWE Partnership Hints At Becky Lynch’s Future

On June 27th, WWE announced a new partnership with English Premier League Club Manchester City. The deal will see the launch of a new range of merchandise featuring top WWE stars, while Manchester City will wear a special kit during their pre-season tour of America featuring the company’s logo.

Interestingly, the press release for the partnership mentions that there will be merchandise featuring Becky Lynch, appearing to confirm that the star is staying with WWE.
