Becky Lynch Holding NXT Title Helped The Brand Says Rising Star

Becky Lynch NXT Women's Champion

Becky Lynch’s reign as the NXT Champion taught the roster a lot, says a current star on the brand.

There are some title reigns in pro wrestling that last months on end without having much impact while in other cases, a short title reign can be impactful. Becky Lynch captured the NXT Women’s Championship on September 12th.

During her only reign as the NXT Women’s Champion, the former Raw & Women’s Champion Lynch proved to be a fighting champion who put the belt on the line against women who deserved opportunities.

Becky Lynch also headlined the NXT No Mercy PLE when she defeated Tiffany Stratton in an Extreme Rules that main evented show with Lynch retaining her title. Lynch’s title reign lasted 42 days when fellow Irishwoman Lyra Valkyria beat Lynch clean on October 24th.

Lash Legend is one of the tallest women in all of WWE who is improving a lot in NXT. She spoke to The Black Rasslin’ Podcast about Lynch’s run in NXT.

“Any time you have a title, a lot of responsibility comes with that. Becky held it down. She represented NXT and WWE so well. It was so good to be able to see her work, have her come down to the locker room. She is a wonderful person.”

“We all learned something. That NXT women’s locker room all learned something when she got that title. I saw how she carried it, and I’m ready to carry it, too.”
