Becky Lynch Recalls Incredible Advice Given By WWE Legend John Cena

John Cena gave Becky Lynch some wonderful advice that she can take to heart for many years to come.

Becky Lynch and John Cena have a lot in common as two wrestlers who some consider the GOATs of WWE. After all, Lynch claims it’s not just her saying it since various publications have also said it. As for Cena, it’s been said many times on WWE TV with good reason since he’s a 17-time WWE World Champion who was a main event performer for 20 years.

The two decorated wrestlers also held the Intercontinental Titles at the same time this year, which likely meant a lot to both of them.

In a video on WWE’s YouTube channel, multiple superstars spoke about the best advice that John Cena gave them during their careers.

John Cena Reminded Becky Lynch To Take It One Day At A Time

When Becky Lynch spoke about the advice from Cena, she mentioned her SummerSlam 2025 match that saw Lynch defeat Lyra Valkyria to retain the Women’s Intercontinental Title. Lynch went on to reveal that she didn’t love the match, but Cena gave her some great advice after it was over.

“So just this past SummerSlam, and it wasn’t my favorite match. And I didn’t love the match. And I came back and I was downtrodden and I was upset.

And he was like, ‘Hey, you good? You physically fine?’ I was like, ‘Yeah.’ He’s like, ‘Is she physically fine?’ I said, ‘Yeah.’ He’s like, ‘Did the crowd react?’ I said, ‘Yeah.’

He said, ‘Well then what’s the problem?’ And I said it just wasn’t my best. And he said, ‘Well, you get to do it tomorrow.’

And I think that kind of simple advice of, you know, nothing is ever permanent in this business. And we can go…one match, one promo, everything…can turn everything around.

And the next night, I went out, I had a pretty damn good promo if I do say so myself. I may have namedropped him (Cena) in that promo and he texted me and he said, ‘See, it can all turn around in one night.”

In that promo on the August 4th edition of Raw, Becky Lynch mentioned John Cena by trashing Nikki Bella because she wasn’t with Cena anymore. The fans erupted into “Holy S**t” chants after Lynch told Nikki she can’t see him anymore. Ouch.
