Becky Lynch Shares Her Huge WrestleMania Goal
Becky Lynch has done a lot in her incredible WWE career, but she still has some goals she wants to accomplish, including one at WrestleMania.
During her WWE career that has lasted over a decade (she signed in April 2013), “The Man” Becky Lynch has done it all.
Lynch is a four-time Smackdown Women’s Champion, a two-time Raw Women’s Champion and earlier this year she was a Women’s Tag Team Champion for the first time too. In addition to that, Lynch won the 2019 Royal Rumble, which led to her main eventing WrestleMania 35 in 2019 when she defeated Ronda Rousey & Charlotte Flair to become Becky Two Belts.
Last week at Money in the Bank in London, Lynch came up short in her quest to win the Money in the Bank briefcase for the first time. Lynch came close to winning, but Zoey Stark & Trish Stratus put a handcuff on her, which led to IYO SKY cuffing Lynch to Bayley later in the match, so Lynch was unable to climb and get the win. It was IYO SKY that became this year’s Women’s Money in the Bank winner.
This coming Monday on Raw, Becky Lynch will face Zoey Stark in singles action. As for SummerSlam, Lynch will likely face her rival Trish Stratus one more time.
In an interview with Cosmopolitan UK, Becky Lynch spoke about wanting to headline the second night of WrestleMania and also get her hands on those new Women’s Titles.
“Gosh, is there anything else on my wrestling bucket list? I suppose there’s always the want to main event WrestleMania again, and now WrestleMania has a new format. It is two nights. So it would be nice to be the first woman to main event the second night of WrestleMania. [Plus] now we’ve got new women’s titles, so I want to win both of them.”
Those two women’s titles are the WWE Women’s Title held by Asuka on Smackdown while Rhea Ripley is the Women’s World Champion on Raw. Lynch recently had a staredown with Ripley to tease a future matchup between them.
