Becky Lynch Confirms Serious Injury
There was some bad news on Monday Night Raw as Becky Lynch confirmed a serious injury that could see her out of action for several months.
At SummerSlam Big Time Becks looked to reclaim championship gold as she faced off with Bianca Belair for the Raw Women’s Championship. Belair was successful in her title defence but the headlines came after the bout.
Lynch and Belair shook hands and embraced in a show of respect but any celebrations were soon interrupted by a returning Bayley. The Role Model wasn’t rolling alone however as she was soon joined by Dakota Sky – who had been released from WWE in April and Io Shirai who has been renamed Iyo Sky.
The three women confronted Belair but she was soon joined by Becky Lynch in facing down the newly-formed trio.
It emerged after the match that Becky Lynch had suffered a separated shoulder, an injury that could see the star forced to undergo surgery, and she will miss several months of action.
On Raw Becky Lynch opened the show, seemingly cementing her return to a face in the company and also confirming her injury, saying that her new comeback story begins now.
Lynch introduced Bianca Belair and left her to address Bayley, Kai, and Sky in the ring. Before The EST of WWE could say too much, however, footage was shown backstage of Bayley’s group attacking Becky Lynch and seemingly exacerbating her injury.
