Becky Lynch Admits WWE Feud Was “Terrible”

Becky Lynch on WWE Raw

Becky Lynch was brought back down to earth.

In the main event of WrestleMania 35, Becky Lynch beat Ronda Rousey and Charlotte Flair to become the Raw and SmackDown Women’s Champion. The match was the first all-women’s clash to headline the famous event, and it capped off a run that saw Lynch become the biggest star in the company.

However, her momentum quickly took a hit when her first storyline as “Becky Two Belts” saw her feud with Lacey Evans, who had only recently graduated from NXT and was relatively inexperienced.

Many fans felt the rivalry was a disappointment after such a high for Lynch at WrestleMania, and it seems they weren’t alone. During a new interview with Bert Kreischer on Something’s Burning, Lynch admitted the story was “horrible.”

“I start working with Lacey Evans right out the gate… God bless her but she wasn’t — for me to go from the main event of WrestleMania to somebody who hadn’t done anything was terrible…”

Becky Lynch Makes Serious Blacklisting Claim

During the same interview, Becky Lynch recalled being told to stay away from one male main roster talent who would blacklist women’s wrestlers if they refused to sleep with him. Lynch said that on one occasion, the unnamed talent got hold of her number, leading her to “walk a tightrope” through fear of her career being impacted.

Although Lynch said she wouldn’t name the WWE star, when Kreischer asked whether he’d know the person involved, she said yes.
