Becky Lynch Gets 2nd Title Shot Since WWE Return

Becky Lynch is finally back in WWE and is now eyeing up even more championship gold as a huge match is made.

Becky Lynch left WWE in the spring of 2024 after her contract came to an end as she sought time at home with her young daughter. However, there was never any question over Lynch’s future, and it was widely believed the star had re-signed with the company ahead of Raw debuting on Netflix in early 2025.

Instead, Lynch’s WWE return was held off until WrestleMania 41, when she appeared as Lyra Valkyria’s tag team partner after Valkyria’s original partner for the show, Bayley, was taken out with a backstage attack.

Becky Lynch and Lyra Valkyria captured the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship on the grandest stage of them all, but one night later, it all fell apart.

Valkyria and Lynch lost the title on Raw after WrestleMania back to Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez, but the story was just beginning. After that loss, Becky Lynch viciously turned on Lyra Valkyria, laying her out with a shocking assault.

Becky Lynch Gets Another WWE Title Shot

On the April 28 edition of Raw, Lyra Valkyria confronted Becky Lynch, challenging her to a match at Backlash with her WWE Women’s Intercontinental Title on the line. Lynch began ranting about blazing a trail for Valkyria to follow when the champion shut The Man up with a dropkick to the face.

Lynch ran off to escape further damage, but as Valkyria then posed on the entranceway with her title, she suffered a cheap shot from behind.
