Bayley Leads WWE Main Roster Charge To NXT Vengeance Day
Bayley is among the WWE main roster stars who are heading back to NXT on the hunt for championship gold at Vengeance Day.
Bayley made history in WWE as the company’s first-ever women’s Grand Slam Champion. The Role Model has held the NXT Women’s Title, variations of the WWE Women’s Championship four times and has two reigns as a WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion to her name. Bayley won the Royal Rumble in 2024 and claimed a big win in another landmark WWE match when she captured Money In The Bank in 2019.
But now, she’s going back to her roots. Bayley appeared on the January 28 edition of NXT where she teamed with NXT Women’s Champion Giulia to face Cora Jade and Roxanne Perez in a tag team match. Bayley pinned Cora Jade to win the bout for her team prompting NXT General Manager Ava to make a triple threat NXT Women’s Title match for Vengeance Day. Giulia will put her title on the line against Bayley and Roxanne Perez.
Bayley Not The Only WWE Main Roster Talent On NXT
The Grayson Waller Effect was also held on NXT as Waller and Austin Theory were joined by NXT Champion Oba Femi. It didn’t take long for things to turn argumentative and Femi issued a challenge to either Waller or Theory to meet him for the title at Vengeance Day.
Ava made her presence felt as she reminded Femi that he did not make the matches and she did. Before anything else could happen Trick Williams ran to the ring taking the fight to Waller and Theory but he was stopped in his tracks by a big pop-up powerbomb from Oba Femi.
Later in the night, Ava revealed that Oba Femi will defend his NXT Championship in another triple threat match at Vengeance Day against both Austin Theory and Grayson Waller.
The only other match confirmed for the February 15 show so far sees Fallon Henley defend her NXT Women’s North American Title against Stephanie Vaquer.
