Bayley Provides Update After WWE Live Event Injury
Bayley has given an update on how she is doing after suffering an injury at a WWE live event.
As most wrestling fans know, injuries can happen at any time when talented wrestlers step into the ring to entertain us. One wrong step or landing on the wrong part of the body could mean a long time on the shelf even though it’s something they do all the time.
There was a WWE live event/house show in Salisbury, Maryland on Sunday night. A big women’s match on the show saw Asuka defending the WWE Women’s Title against Charlotte Flair, Bianca Belair & Bayley.
A video was posted on Twitter to show what happened. There was a spot in the match where Asuka was charging toward Bayley, who looked like she was trying to avoid the champion or jump over her. However, Asuka went into Bayley’s right leg, which was on the mat, so Bayley went down clutching her right knee.
Immediately after Bayley went down, you can see referee Jessika Carr checking on her while Charlotte Flair also checked on Bayley.
The match was momentarily stopped, Carr did the “X” signal to signify an injury Asuka pinned Charlotte to end the match so that Bayley could be checked out.

Bayley was able to walk with a limp on her way to the back while WWE medical personnel were with her.
In July 2021, Bayley suffered a torn ACL in her knee while training at the WWE Performance Center. She returned over one year later at SummerSlam 2022. Dakota Kai, who is part of Damage CTRL with Bayley & IYO SKY, is currently out of action with a torn ACL. That’s usually an injury that keeps people out for at least nine months and sometimes more.
On Twitter after the show, Bayley posted a photo of an ice bag on her injured right knee. She wrote: “I’ll be alright, thanks everyone.”

There are also fans that posted videos after the show of Bayley limping in the parking lot to get to her car. That’s certainly a better sight than being in a wheelchair or being sent to the hospital.
Since Bayley is on the Smackdown brand, there might not be an update on her health until this Friday. There will probably be more testing by WWE as well.
On Smackdown this past Friday, Bayley beat Zelina Vega in a short match. After the match, Shotzi was shown on video shaving her head and basically warning Bayley that she (Shotzi) was coming for the Damage CTRL leader.
