Bayley Loses As Major NXT Title Match Changed
Bayley is set to challenge for championship gold before WrestleMania but now she’s going to be joined in her quest by another NXT star.
Bayley made history in WWE as the company’s first-ever women’s Grand Slam Champion. The Role Model has held the NXT Women’s Title, variations of the WWE Women’s Championship four times and has two reigns as a WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion to her name. Bayley won the Royal Rumble in 2024 and claimed a big win in another landmark WWE match when she captured Money In The Bank in 2019.
But now, she’s going back to her roots. Bayley appeared on the January 28 edition of NXT where she teamed with NXT Women’s Champion Giulia to face Cora Jade and Roxanne Perez in a tag team match. Bayley pinned Cora Jade to win the bout for her team prompting NXT General Manager Ava to make a triple threat NXT Women’s Title match for Vengeance Day.
But Cora Jade was not happy with that decision.
Cora Jade Shocks Bayley Thanks To Roxanne Perez
On the February 11 edition of NXT Bayley faced Cora Jade in a one-on-one match. During the bout, The Role Model’s old music hit and Roxanne Perez emerged as ‘Hugger’ Bayley. The distraction was enough for Jade to pick up the win.
NO. WAY. @roxanne_wwe just brought up @itsBayleyWWE's past to mock The Role Model! 😱#WWENXTpic.twitter.com/BMdzeG2LsP

NXT General Manager Ava then came to the ring to make the NXT Women’s Title match at Vengeance Day a four-way as she added Cora Jade to the bout.
