Bayley Asks John Cena A Bold Question After Tournament Reveal

John Cena’s final opponent will be decided through a tournament.

During WWE’s Saturday Night’s Main Event on November 1, 2025, WWE released a pre-recorded video package featuring Cena, where he officially announced that the company would hold the “Last Time Is Now” 16-man tournament to determine his final WWE opponent

The tournament will begin on the November 10 edition of Monday Night Raw in Boston, Cena’s hometown, and culminate with Cena’s last match on December 13, 2025, at Saturday Night’s Main Event in Washington, D.C.

The tournament will feature wrestlers chosen at random from WWE’s Raw, SmackDown, NXT brands, and possibly some wrestlers outside WWE, including former rivals and new faces Cena has never faced before.

After the announcement went live, WWE star Bayley logged in to her X (Twitter) to ask John Cena a bold question. She asked if women could also be a part of the tournament, probably teasing that she’s interested in participating in it.

Bayley wrote, “Can women be in the tournament?”

John Cena Will Never Wrestle After Retirement

Wrestlers are often seen returning to the ring even after their retirement. But John Cena has closed the door forever. Speaking to Fox Sports reporter Tom Rinaldi in a recent interview, he stated he has no intention of having an in-ring return post-retirement.

“I made a promise to WWE that I would not stick around when my skills can’t match the product, and they can’t, and that’s ok, because what I do isn’t who I am. The realization of that has helped me be like, ‘let these guys have it now’.”

“Physical activity, 100%. I very rarely speak in absolutes because you never know. I do know in this case. Never again, because I don’t want to let the people I made a promise to down.”

“Any appearances I would make on WWE in the future wouldn’t have physical activity.”
