Bayley had some really nice things to say about a fellow women’s wrestler in WWE by calling her “the best.”
During her WWE career, Bayley has had a lot of success as a two-time Smackdown Women’s Champion, one-time Raw Women’s Champion, two-time Women’s Tag Team Champion and the 2019 Women’s Money in the Bank winner. She also leads the Damage CTRL group with IYO SKY and Dakota Kai, who currently hold the Women’s Tag Team Titles.
Prior to her main roster success, Bayley was also an NXT Women’s Champion at a time when women’s wrestling was really growing in recognition and popularity in WWE. The woman that ended Bayley’s 223-day NXT Women’s Title reign was Asuka. Not only did Asuka beat Bayley for the title, but Asuka also went undefeated in NXT and held the NXT Women’s Title for an incredible, record-setting 522 days.
Asuka has also held the same Women’s Titles on the main roster that Bayley has held. At WrestleMania 39 on April 1st & April 2nd, Asuka will challenge Bianca Belair for the Raw Women’s Title thanks to Asuka’s win in the Women’s Elimination Chamber match last week.
Bayley was a part of the UpUpDownDown WWE 2K23 Roster Ratings Reveal video and had this to say when Asuka’s name came up with an 89 rating (out of 100).
“She’s just the best. If I were to choose, she should be at a 95. She’s the best. She’s been doing this for so long and consistent and can do it better than any of us could ever dream of. She’s never slowed down. Even when she’s hurt she’s like, ‘I’m fine,’ and I see her limping and I’m like, ‘No, you’re not’. She’s incredible and she’s constantly evolving.”
If you’re wondering, Bayley’s rating in the game is 91, so she’s rated a bit higher than Asuka in the game. Becky Lynch is the top woman in the game with rating of 96 while Roam Reigns is the highest overall at 99.
