Bayley Suffers Heartbreak After Shock Twist On WWE SmackDown

Bayley has found herself facing an uphill battle against Damage CTRL and now things have been made even harder for her on WWE SmackDown.

Bayley won the 2024 women’s Royal Rumble and was set to announce what champion she wanted to challenge at WrestleMania in Philadelphia on the February 2nd episode of Smackdown.

Bayley had made clear to the rest of Damage CTRL that should she win the Rumble she’d challenge Rhea Ripley for the Women’s World Title to bring all the gold to the group given that IYO SKY is the WWE Women’s Champion. However, the group didn’t realise Bayley was on to their months of bad-mouthing her and plans to turn on the star.

As a result, Bayley shocked the group as she let them in on her secret as she challenged IYO SKY for her title at WrestleMania 40. Dakota Kai has been out of action with a torn ACL and was not present for Bayley’s split from the group but she was one week later when SKY, Asuka, and Kairi Sane looked to attack the Role Model with Kai chasing the trio off with a chair.

Bayley Betrayed On WWE SmackDown

That led to a tag team match being set up for SmackDown in Glendale, Arizona that pitted Bayley and Dakota Kai against The Kabuki Warriors. During the match, Asuka and Sane focussed the attack on the Royal Rumble winner and when Bayley finally tried to tag in her partner, Kai jumped off the apron revealing she was still a part of Damage CTRL.

Sane, Asuka, and SKY attacked Bayley after she tried to get her hands on Kai with Kai watching on in a more passive role although she did land a big slap on her now former friend’s face.
