Bayley Credits WWE Hall Of Famer For Inspiring Her Wrestling Career
A WWE Hall of Famer that Bayley saw when she was a kid is a big reason why she became a wrestler.
For more than a decade, Bayley has established herself as one of the greatest women’s wrestlers in WWE history.
In addition to being a four-time WWE Women’s Champion, Bayley is also a former 2-time Women’s Tag Team Champion.
As a current member of the WWE Raw roster, Bayley has had a unique friendship with Lyra Valkyria for most of the year. The former champion has also shown she has some personality issues, as she doesn’t seem sure whether she wants to remain a normal babyface or return to her heelish ways.
While speaking on the Nikki & Brie Show, Bayley cited the legendary WWE Hall of Famer “Macho Man” Randy Savage as her wrestling inspiration.
“Nothing really caught my attention until I saw Macho Man one time. I was just walking by the living room, and I saw Macho Man come out, and it’s just like one of those cliché things that you hear, but it was so true. I was just glued from then on, just something about him.
You know, I mean, it’s Macho Man. We were just talking about him the other day. He’s my favorite and still is.”
Macho Man’s Energy Made Bayley Gravitate Towards Him
Bayley was born in 1989, and Macho Man was in WCW for most of the 1990s after leaving WWE, so Macho Man likely influenced her at a young age. Considering Macho Man often wore bright colors and was very charismatic, it’s easy to see why a younger viewer would notice him.
“I pull so much inspiration from him because he’s just energy and that’s, you know, you can’t even explain it. You can’t teach it, but everything he was, you gravitated towards him.”
