Batista Says Top WWE Star Has Unlimited Acting Potential

Batista believes one top WWE star is already a great actor.

Wrestlers becoming actors is nothing new, but it’s fair to say not everyone has found the success they hoped for outside the squared circle. However, Dave Bautista, known to wrestling fans as Batista, has proven in spectacular fashion that it’s possible to excel at both.

On the eve of the release of his latest movie The Killer’s Game, featuring none other than Drew McIntyre, Batista gave his thoughts on who from WWE could make the jump to Hollywood.

While appearing on BuzzFeed Celeb, Batista said he’d love to see CM Punk take more acting roles in the future given his “unlimited” potential.

“You know who I think I really overlooked as an actor? I don’t know if he hasn’t pursued it as much as he’d like to because he’s still heavily pursuing professional wrestling, but it is CM Punk, Phil Brooks. His potential in acting is pretty unlimited.

I really want to see more from him in acting. I’d actually love to work with him because I think he has a passion for acting, but I think still his heart is in professional wrestling, and until he’s able to let that go a little bit, he’ll never be able to fully envelop himself in acting, but I think Phil Brooks is a great actor,”

Big-Name WWE Star Wants Dream Match With Batista

During an interview of his own promoting The Killer’s Game, Drew McIntyre said he’d love a match with Batista if he ever returns to wrestling. The Scottish star said he hopes their fight scene in the movie isn’t the last time they get chance to fight on-screen.

Despite the pleas from McIntyre, it doesn’t look like he’ll be getting his wish. During a recent interview, Batista reiterated that he’ll never wrestle again as he doesn’t want to ruin the perfect ending to his career.

Batista hasn’t wrestled since being defeated by Triple H at WrestleMania 35 in 2019.
