Batista Legitimately Hurt Ex-WWE Name Backstage: “My B*tt Crack Was Bleeding”
A former WWE talent revealed that Batista once had him scared to death.
Batista was a force to be reckoned with during his run in the WWE for almost two decades, from 2000 to 2019. The former six-time World Champion was known for his charisma and his strength-meets-mixed-martial-arts in-ring style and was a fan favourite. He wrestled his last match against his one-time mentor, ally and later foe Triple H, in a No Holds Barred match at WrestleMania 35 where he lost and retired from WWE to pursue a career in Hollywood.
The Animal’s name would also pop up in some interesting backstage incidents that took place over the years, one of which was recently revealed by former WWE announcer Todd Grisham.
Batista Almost Took Out Todd Grisham
In an appearance on INSIGHT with Chris Van Vilet, Grisham revealed that during his early days in the WWE, people would test him and play pranks on him. WWE superstar The Brooklyn Brawler had spread a rumour backstage that Grisham had said that wrestling is fake. Grisham said he decided not to deny the rumours as that would in turn make the Brooklyn Brawler a liar, which he didn’t want.
“So then somebody, they’re doing the practice matches in the ring, and then somebody goes, ‘Hey, that’s the idiot that says wrestling’s fake; bring him into the ring.’ I’m like, oh god. So I get into the ring, and Jazz was in there. She’s like, ‘You really think that?’ And I’m like, ‘Yeah, I think wrestling looks fake.”
Things heated up even further when Batista entered the ring and everyone urged him to Power Bomb Grisham.
“So next thing you know, Batista is in the ring, and they’re like, ‘Give him a Power Bomb, Batista.’ And I’m like, Oh my god. So Batista sets me between his legs, grabs my underwear, and freaking rips them straight up. Just like a saw going, and he keeps acting like he’s gonna do it right, and I’m scared to death, and thank God he didn’t Power Bomb me, but my freaking b*tt crack was bleeding afterwards, raw as hell.”
