Baron Corbin Changing Name For First Post-WWE Match
Baron Corbin is no longer a WWE star and he’s wasted no time in getting back into the ring as he’s been announced for a big match.
In October 2024, Baron Corbin was told his WWE contract would not be extended meaning that he would leave the company after 12 years when his deal ended.
As a WWE superstar, Corbin’s career had plenty of ups and downs. During his first NXT run, he was known for winning matches quickly. Once he joined the main roster in 2016, he won the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal at WrestleMania 32.
That main roster run saw also Corbin win the United States Title and he also captured the Money in the Bank briefcase in 2017. Corbin also won the 2019 King of the Ring tournament and was the man who retired the legendary WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle as well. Kurt Angle was disgusted by WWE’s use of Baron Corbin after that match.
Baron Corbin became a free agent at the beginning of 2025 and with no 90-day non-compete to worry about since he wasn’t released, he’s wasting no time in getting back into the mix.
