Banned AEW Star Returns To Dynamite
One AEW star has returned to TV after being unceremoniously banned from several shows.
In recent months, Chris Jericho has been entangled in an increasingly bitter feud with HOOK. The two men started out as an unlikely tag team but as Jericho became more overbearing as he embraced his new Learning Tree persona, things fell apart.
Jericho ended up defeating HOOK for the FTW Championship which plainly left a bad taste in the mouth of HOOK’s father and the man who invented the title, AEW commentator Taz.
Since then, HOOK, Samoa Joe, and Katsuyori Shibata defeated Chris Jericho, Big Bill, and Jeff Cobb at Forbidden Door but Jericho is having the last laugh.
Taz Returns To AEW After Chris Jericho Ban
On the 3rd of July edition of Dynamite, Chris Jericho had Taz removed from the arena despite him being on commentary for the show. That move was approved by EVPs The Young Bucks meaning Taz had to go. That meant Jericho faced no consequences after he shot a fireball in HOOK’s face.
On the 10th of July edition of the show, it was noted Taz had arrived in Calgary for Dynamite but was still banned from the show where Jericho took out Samoa Joe in a Stampede Street Fight.
But on the 250th edition of Dynamite, Taz was back in his seat at the commentary desk alongside his usual broadcast partners Excalibur and Tony Schiavone. Despite Chris Jericho hosting his TV Time segment on the show, it was not Taz who confronted him but rather NJPW star Minoru Suzuki who told Jericho exactly when they’d be squaring off for the FTW Championship.
