Bad Bunny Makes Bold Claim About His Place In WWE History
Bad Bunny is looking back on his WWE match history while making a declaration on his spot as a celebrity wrestler.
The Grammy Award-winning singer Bad Bunny is one of the most popular musicians in the world, who has sold out arenas all over the world. He’s also a huge WWE fan who got to live his dream by competing in a ring in some huge matches.
At WrestleMania 37 in 2021, Bad Bunny teamed up with fellow Puerto Rican Damian Priest to beat the team of The Miz and John Morrison. It was an impressive performance from Bunny, who trained for several weeks leading up to the match.
In the 2022 Men’s Royal Rumble, Bad Bunny was the 27th entrant and was one of the final five men in the match, but he was given an F5 by Brock Lesnar and tossed out by Lesnar, who won the match.
Bad Bunny’s biggest WWE match was at Backlash 2023 in Puerto Rico when he defeated Damian Priest in a San Juan Street Fight. It’s a match that WWE fans will never forget, thanks to the crowd’s incredible response to Bunny’s impressive performance.
While Bunny has yet to compete for a major title in WWE, he did hold the “coveted” 24/7 Title at one point.
“The Greatest Celebrity Wrestler Of All Time” – Bad Bunny Referring To Himself
Bad Bunny is known as a musician, and he’s also an actor who has a significant role in the Netflix film Happy Gilmore 2, which stars Adam Sandler and features other wrestlers like WWE’s Becky Lynch and AEW’s MJF.
In a WWE On Netflix video, Bunny refers to himself as “the greatest celebrity wrestler of all time.” Whether he was serious or not about that comment is hard to tell, but clearly he thinks highly of himself.
There is also a clip in the video from the 2021 Royal Rumble when he was a musical guest at the show. During the Rumble match, Bunny jumped off the top rope and took out The Miz & Morrison with a cross body block on the floor. It would lead to the WrestleMania 37 match. Bunny talked about that moment in the video.
“That was hard. I was scared. I slipped on the rope, so I didn’t jump well, but I was like, ‘Oh yeah, finally I did it. So I’m okay. I’m alive.’ That was my first appearance. So it was maybe a week. I was not 100% prepared, insecure. Then is when I start to practice for months, but anyway, people love it.”
It’s not known when Bad Bunny may return to WWE because he’s a busy man, but it’s likely that whenever when he wants to come back, he’ll be welcome with open arms and could have future matches.
