Bad Bunny “Being Considered” For Another Huge Match In 2023
Rap superstar and streaming sensation Bad Bunny stole the show at Backlash in Puerto Rico as he took on Damian Priest in only his third match in WWE.
A raucous crowd cheered on Bad Bunny to the ring for his match with Damian Priest, singing every word of his entrance and song and willing him on against the odds as he went toe to toe with The Judgment Day’s punisher.
Bunny more than held his own however and Finn Balor and Dominik Mysterio made their presence felt to try and make sure Priest got the job done. That brought out Rey Mysterio and former WWE star Carlito to even the sides. With The Judgment Day retreating they ran into another roadblock as Puerto Rican wrestling legend Savio Vega confronted Balor and Dominik.
Speaking to Sportskeeda, Savio Vega noted that from what he’s heard Bad Bunny could be set for a huge return to the WWE ring for the biggest party of the summer:
“This kid has two full matches. One at Wrestlemania, and this singles match against Damian Priest. He’s natural. You know, they take him step by step all the way to the end, but he has the mentality. He has the power, he’s hungry for that. He loves it, he wants to make it good… He has it, and I hear they’re maybe talking about Summerslam for him. I don’t know. They know what they’re going to do. But Bad Bunny hit the ball out of the park.”
2023’s edition of SummerSlam will take place in Ford Field in Detroit, Michigan on the 5th of August, and with a massive stadium to fill the company will surely be looking to pack the card with the biggest stars it can.
