Backstage AEW Name Announces Shocking Departure
A major name backstage in AEW has announced their departure from the company.
There have been plenty of rumours surrounding exits in AEW making the rounds in recent months. Chris Jericho has not been seen in the company since April, when he lost the ROH World Championship to Bandido. Jericho is widely expected to rejoin WWE when his contract with Tony Khan’s company expires at the end of 2025.
Chris Jericho poured fuel on that fire when he praised TNA at the expense of AEW recently. Despite all of that, Tony Khan has admitted he’d love to have Jericho back in an AEW ring sooner rather than later.
While the battle for Jericho looks set to continue, AEW has lost one major name behind the scenes.
AEW Lose A Major Backstage Name
AEW’s Senior Marketing Director of Live Events, Jeremy Flynn, took to social media to reveal that he was leaving the company:
This is bittersweet, but this Saturday will be my last event with @AEW. I have an opportunity to work for my own company and spend more time with family. @AEW has been like family and I appreciate the opportunity from @TonyKhan. Wishing nothing but continued success for AEW!
