On March 24, it was officially announced that The Natural Disasters will be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame.
The team made up of Fred Ottman and the late John Tenta, won the World Tag Team Titles while becoming an important part of WWF television in the early 1990s. Typhoon and Earthquake will now take their place in the class of 2025 alongside Triple H, Lex Luger, and Michelle McCool.
Ken Shamrock For WWE Hall Of Fame?
Reporting in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer noted that former Intercontinental Champion Ken Shamrock has also been linked with an induction during WrestleMania 41 weekend.
While not yet announced, Ken Shamrock’s name has been bandied about as well.
Although he began training as a professional wrestler in 1988, Ken Shamrock initially found fame as part of the fledgling Ultimate Fighting Championship MMA promotion in 1993.
Shamrock quickly established himself as one of the stars of the burgeoning MMA scene and began working with the WWF in 1997 with the nickname “The World’s Most Dangerous Man.”
Over the next two years, Shamrock won the King of the Ring tournament, and the Intercontinental and World Tag Team Titles. However, frustrated with creative, the star left the company in late 1999. He went on to wrestle for ROH, NJPW, and TNA, among others as well as returning to MMA.
In a 2024 interview, Ken Shamrock revealed he signed a WWE Legends deal.
