Attempts Being Made To Remove Vince McMahon From WWE 2K24

The fallout from the Vince McMahon sex trafficking scandal continues.

On January 25th, a lawsuit alleging Vince McMahon’s involvement in sex trafficking and sexual assault was made public. Since then, McMahon has stepped down from his position on the TKO Group Board of Directors.

It should be noted that McMahon has denied the allegations.

Since the news broke, WWE has been attempting to move on from the scandal and put McMahon in the rearview mirror — this is despite the company being implemented in the lawsuit. WWE has already removed McMahon from its website, and now its video game partner is reportedly looking to try and move away from the controversial figure.

During a recent episode of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer stated that 2K Games is looking to remove McMahon from the upcoming release of WWE 2K24.

WWE 2K24 is due to be released on March 8th, 2024.

“They’re trying to figure out a way to get him out of the video game, which may not be possible.

And probably trying to figure out a way to erase him from history, which is completely impossible.”

The report comes after it was revealed that Brock Lesnar has been removed from WWE Supercard. Players will be able to use any Lesnar cards they’ve already acquired, but won’t be able to pull a new Lesnar card. Furthermore, Lesnar has been factored out of WWE’s creative plans.

Vince McMahon Scandal Expected To Get Worse

According to a recent report, there are those within WWE who believe that the allegations against Vince McMahon “aren’t even the worst of it.” The same report from Fightful also quoted a long-time employee who expected McMahon to face criminal charges — “If the feds raided Vince and got his phone, they’ll almost surely find something.”
