Athena Sends Surprising Message To Trolls After Smashing ROH Record
ROH Women’s World Champion Athena has acknowledged her trolls after she broke Samoa Joe’s title record.
Athena claimed the ROH Women’s World Championship with a victory over Mercedes Martinez at ROH Final Battle on 10th December 2022.
Since then the former WWE star has held onto her title with an iron will as she saw off challenges from the likes of Marina Shafir, Willow Nightingale, Nyla Rose, and Hikaru Shida. On September 15th 2024, Athena smashed Samoa Joe’s record of longest-reigning Ring of Honor title holder as she reached 646 days as champion.
Athena Thanks Minions & Trolls
Taking to social media, Athena thanked her fans for their support as she recognised the milestone and also had some unwarranted kind words for her trolls as well:
@ringofhonor I have tried to write this a billion times and figure out the right words to say and i still dont think i know what to say… But it boils down to this I am thankful for my minions that have supported me. I am thankful for all the trolls that give me the motivation to prove them wrong. I am thankful to every hussy I have beaten along the way to show everyone that I am the THE BEST IN THE WORLD!!!! With love and anger, Athena
