Asuka Wins Raw Women’s Title
Night of Champions has seen another new champion crowned following Seth Rollins’ success to open the shows as Asuka picked up a big win over Bianca Belair.
On the 12th of May edition of SmackDown, Bianca Belair was left a friend down and a face full of green mist as Asuka turned on the Raw Women’s Champion setting up a big showdown between the two women at Night of Champions.
At Night of Champions in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, Asuka got her chance to take on Belair and challenge for the gold and made the most of her opportunity. The mist came into play again and with Belair blinded, vicious kicks were enough for the Japanese star to pick up the Raw Women’s Title for the third time in her career.
Belair’s title run was the longest in the history of the Raw Women’s Title at well over 400 days and the anomaly of the Raw and SmackDown Women’s Championships being held by stars on the opposite show is still in play with Asuka’s win.
Also at Night of Champions, SmackDown Women’s Champion Rhea Ripley wasted absolutely no time in taking the fight to her challenger Natalya as The Judgment Day’s Eradicator defended her title in a matter of mere minutes.
