Asuka Stuns Partners On WWE SmackDown

Asuka has done the unthinkable and aligned with Damage CTRL after a huge return to WWE at Crown Jewel.

At Crown Jewel Kairi Sane made her shocking return to WWE to help IYO SKY retain her WWE Women’s Championship against Bianca Belair. The move stunned nobody more than Bayley who had attacked Sane back in 2020 which was the last time the Japanese star had been seen on WWE television.

On SmackDown in Columbus, Ohio Damage CTRL and Kairi Sane came to the ring to settle any issues and explain just what was happening with the group. Dakota Kai was the one who explained to Bayley that she and SKY worked to bring Kairi Sane back to help ease the burden on Bayley. Sane then told Bayley that she forgave her for the 2020 attack and all four women hugged to solidify their alliance.

Asuka Turns On Bianca Belair and Charlotte Flair

In the night’s main event, Asuka teamed with Bianca Belair and Charlotte Flair to take on Kairi Sane, IYO SKY, and Bayley in a six-woman tag team match. The match ended in complete chaos as Asuka refused to tag in before misting Belair in the face as she took the side of Damage CTRL.

The four women plus Dakota Kai then attacked Flair and Belair with Shotzi running in to try and make the save but she fell victim to the numbers advantage as well.

Asuka and Kairi Sane previously held the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship together during Sane’s first run with the company as The Kabuki Warriors.

With things ending in a four-on-three attack, it seems WWE could be heading towards announcing a women’s WarGames match for Survivor Series in Chicago.
