Asuka Relinquishes WWE NXT Women’s Title; Potential Landing Spot On Main Roster
Asuka relinquished her NXT Women’s Title at tonight’s NXT tapings. She did this because she broke her right collarbone during her match with Ember Moon at NXT Takeover: Brooklyn III. Her recovery time is estimated to be six to eight weeks.
Asuka handed over her championship to NXT General Manager William Regal after saying that she loves NXT and has started negotiations with Raw and Smackdown. The NXT locker room came out to stand on the stage and applaud Asuka. Triple H then entered the ring with roses for “The Empress of Tomorrow” and gave her a hug.
When it comes to which brand she will be on, Ryan Satin of Pro Wrestling Sheet noted on Twitter that he’s been told Asuka will be on Raw.
