Asuka Breaks Silence On Serious WWE Incident

Asuka

Asuka once lost a tooth during a match.

On the February 22, 2021, episode of WWE Raw, The Empress of Tomorrow teamed up with Charlotte Flair to take on the then-WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions, Shayna Baszler and Nia Jax.

During a point in the match, Baszler accidentally hit Asuka in the face too hard, knocking her teeth out of her mouth.

The ex-WWE star detailed the incident during her recent interview with Chris Van Vliet’s Insight podcast.

Baszler described Asuka as bada** and said that despite losing a tooth, she was so chill as if nothing had happened to her.

Some fans reacted to this incident in a sarcastic way, which didn’t sit right with Asuka.

Asuka Didn’t Want To Make Shayna Baszler Feel Guilty

The WWE star called out her haters on social media for mocking her just for being considerate of her colleague.

She detailed that losing her tooth was incredibly painful, but that she didn’t react only because she didn’t want to make Baszler feel guilty for hurting her.

She tweeted:

My tooth was fractured due to a mistake by Shayna Baszler. At the time I told her I was okay because I did not want her to carry the guilt. But I ended up needing surgery and of course I was not okay.

I just did not want her to feel responsible knowing that these things happen in our line of work. I thought that if I just endured it then everything would be fine. Seeing people mocking me in the comments makes me realize once again how cruel the world is.

But I blame no one. I do not even wish misfortune upon those who lack kindness. In fact I am more cruel than these cruel people because I will be far happier than they are.

While people spend their time mocking me I am savoring and embracing every bit of my happiness. My ideal life is already nearing its completion. Thank you.
