Arn Anderson Reveals His Picks For The Best Second Generation Wrestlers Of All Time
WWE Hall of Famer Arn Anderson weighed in on a hotly debated topic in professional wrestling: who ranks among the greatest second-generation wrestlers of all time?
Speaking on his podcast ARN, Arn Anderson shared his thoughts on the stars who have successfully carried on their families’ wrestling legacies. At the top of Anderson’s list were the Rhodes brothers, Cody and Dustin Rhodes. The two have made significant contributions to the wrestling world while honouring the legacy of their legendary father, Dusty Rhodes.
Cody and Dustin, gotta put them at the top.
Anderson remarked, highlighting their ability to carve out unique paths in the industry while staying true to their family roots. Another name Anderson mentioned was Brad Armstrong, a second-generation wrestler who often flies under the radar but left a lasting impression on the industry.
Brad Armstrong, gotta put him up there in that group.
Anderson added, recognizing Armstrong’s in-ring talent and legacy. Anderson also turned his focus to Randy Orton, whose illustrious WWE career solidifies his place among the all-time greats. Anderson spoke highly of Randy’s father, Bob Orton Jr., and the role he played in inspiring Anderson’s own career in wrestling.
Randy Orton, and let me tell you, his dad Bob Orton Jr. and Dick Slater were my reasons for getting in the wrestling business. Bob Orton Jr., I don’t think gets enough credit for the performer that he was, as well as Dick Slater. Randy came right behind him every bit as good but in a different way. Their styles are not the same—they’re completely different.
