Arn Anderson Names Top Tag Team Yet To Enter The WWE Hall Of Fame

Arn Anderson Recalls His First Meeting With

WWE Hall of Famer Arn Anderson has named the legendary tag team Demolition as one of the greatest duos yet to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame.

Speaking on his podcast ARN, Anderson was asked which teams currently outside the Hall are ranked among the best. He responded without hesitation, singling out the iconic group.

“Well, for sure, Demolition comes to mind right away,” Anderson said. “They held the tag titles for 400 and something days, just ridiculous. They were the WWF’s Road Warriors, those guys kicked ass, and we were fortunate, guess who took the titles off of them at the end of that 400 something days? Brain Busters.”

Demolition, famously comprised of Ax (Bill Eadie) and Smash (Barry Darsow), was a dominant force in the WWF’s tag team division throughout the late 1980s and early 1990s. Initially, Smash was portrayed by Randy Colley, but after only three matches, he was replaced by Darsow when audiences recognised him as former Moondog Rex.

During their peak, Ax and Smash captured the WWF Tag Team Championships three times, cementing their legacy as one of the era’s premier teams. In the early 1990s, the group briefly expanded to include Crush, turning Demolition into a formidable trio.

Despite their remarkable achievements and lasting popularity among fans, Demolition has yet to receive the honour of a WWE Hall of Fame induction.

Anderson spoke about the series of matches between Steamboat and Flair during the 1980s and how Steamboat’s superb selling skills made the matches even more believable. Anderson said that Steamboat is likely the best seller in wrestling history, perhaps holding first place joint with Ricky Morton.
