Arn Anderson Names The WWE Hall Of Famer He Dreaded Getting In The Ring With
WWE Hall of Famer Arn Anderson shared a surprising confession about the one wrestler he dreaded facing in the ring.
On his podcast, “ARN”, Anderson opened up about his anxiety when stepping into the ring with the late Vader, another WWE Hall of Fame inductee. Known for his intimidating size and hard-hitting style, Vader was a force to be reckoned with, and Arn Anderson’s revelation highlights the respect, and even fear, that Vader commanded from his fellow wrestlers.
I’d rather Vader have on my team than be standing across the ring from him.
Anderson admitted, reflecting on his experiences with the legendary big man. Vader’s punishing physicality made every match an intense and gruelling experience, and Anderson didn’t hold back when describing just how tough it was to face him.
It was no picnic, pal. He would beat the ever-loving crap out of you, and it’s not like you could just out-muscle him and overwhelm him.
In preparing for matches with Vader, Anderson revealed that his mindset was simply focused on survival.
My goal for going to the ring was just to live through this. Tomorrow, everything will feel a lot different.
Perhaps Anderson’s most revealing comment was about the fear Vader instilled in his opponents.
Anybody that is walking to the ring to fight Vader, if they don’t tell you they’re anxious, they’re lying. Call it whatever you want cowardice, common sense, whatever you want to label it as that dude was bad news.
