Another WWE Star Is Planning To Retire In 2025
WWE Superstars retiring looks to be a theme in 2025.
At Money In The Bank, John Cena shocked the world by announcing his retirement. After some initial confusion, the 16-time World Champion explained that he’ll retire in late 2025 after wrestling as many matches as he can from January to December.
Since the announcement, WWE stars past and present have been lining up for one more shot at the veteran, with the likes of Bron Breakker, Rob Van Dam, and The Miz throwing their hats into the ring.
Cena signed with WWE in 2000, and by the time he hangs up his boots, he will be remembered as one of the biggest and most successful stars the industry has ever seen.
WWE Star To Retire In April
It’s now been reported by Tokyo Sports that Meiko Satomura will end her own impressive career in 2025. Although an official retirement date hasn’t been confirmed, the report suggests Satomura’s final match will likely take place in April around the 30th anniversary of her debut.
The veteran began her career back in 1995 and competed in WCW, Stardom, Chikara, and several others before making her WWE debut in 2018. Satomura signed with the sports entertainment giant in 2020 working as an on-screen talent and a coach.
The legend recently returned to action on the company’s three-date tour of Japan, wrestling her first match for the company since March 2023.
