Another AEW Star Suffers Legitimate Injury

Darby Allin, AEW logo blur

An absent AEW star is dealing with an injury.

On the July 20th episode of AEW Collision, Darby Allin returned to action for the first time since May. In fact, the match was just Allin’s second since March 13th when he broke his foot in a match on Dynamite against Jay White.

While Allin will now form part of team AEW at Blood & Guts, his opponent on that night back in March will be watching from the sidelines.

On July 13, Jay White and The Gunns were stripped of the World Trios Titles due to an injury suffered by the former NJPW star. The trio had tried to get Juice Robinson to stand in for White, but the move was blocked by Christopher Daniels. White hasn’t wrestled since being defeated by Hangman Adam Page in the semi-finals of the Owen Hart Cup.

However, given little is known about White’s condition, some have questioned whether the injury is real, or a storyline device. But that speculation has now been put to bed.

In a new report, Fightful Select has confirmed the injury suffered by White is legitimate, although there’s no word on exactly what the injury is.

Skye Blue Suffers Broken Ankle On AEW Collision

In more unfortunate injury news, it’s been reported that Skye Blue suffered a broken ankle in her match on Collision with Hikaru Shida.

During the bout, Shida hit a crossbody from the ring apron to the floor, but as she landed on Blue, the latter’s ankle appeared to buckle underneath her. After the star was checked by the referee, the match was waved off, and officials helped her backstage.

Meanwhile, the injury came to Skye Blue came after Tony Khan revealed Dalton Castle won’t wrestle again in 2024 after suffering a concussion in a match against Roderick Strong.
