Plans Announced For AEW Dynamite Winter Is Coming

Tony Khan AEW Dynamite

Another AEW special will return before the end of 2024.

During Collision it was announced that Winter is Coming will return on Wednesday, December 11th. The taping will come live from the T-Mobile Center in Kansas City, Missouri.

The news comes after it was announced that AEW Collision will be heading to GalaxyCon on December 7th. It had previously been disclosed by the Nationwide Arena that the original booking for December 7th had been canceled.

While the company has a packed schedule through the rest of the year, no tapings have been announced for 2025.

AEW Special Has Played Host To History

Winter is Coming 2024 will be the fifth edition of the special, with those previous tapings forever linked with AEW history.

The first episode in the series saw Kenny Omega defeat Jon Moxley to claim the World Title in the main event, while Sting made his AEW debut on the show. Despite many believing he was retired, Sting would eventually return to the ring, wrestling on a semi-regular basis until Revolution 2024 when he retired as one-half of the World Tag Team Champions.

A year later in 2021, Hangman Adam Page wrestled Bryan Danielson to a one-hour draw to retain the World Championship.

In 2023 the special was spread across three nights with the banner featuring across Dynamite, Rampage, and Collision.
