Anna Jay Breaks Silence After AEW Defeat With Big Implications
Anna Jay has been reflecting after a recent defeat with huge implications.
The 26 year-old former member of The Dark Order challenged Mariah May for the AEW Women’s World Championship on the 16th November edition of Collision, ultimately coming up short after a brutal No Disqualification bout.
The back and forth outing saw the two stars utilise a host of weapons with May picking up the win after hitting her challenger with a Storm Zero on to a chair. That defeat means that Jay will now not be able to compete for the title again as long as Mariah May is Champion.
Posting on social media following the loss, Anna Jay reiterated her determination to become AEW Women’s World Champion in the future:
“One day I will be the AEW women’s world champion. But for now I’ll be content with the fact that Mariah May is somewhere sore, and hurting right now. The journey continues.”
Former Anna Jay Rival Set To Return
A top former rival of Anna Jay looks set to make her return to an AEW ring.
Former AEW TBS Champion Julia Hart has been absent from the ring since May 2024 having undergone surgery to repair a shoulder injury but looks poised to return to action after a recent series of vignettes on AEW television.
The long awaited comeback could send shockwaves through the AEW women’s division, with legendary announcer Jim Ross recently admitting that he was excited by the return.
