Andrade Fires Back At Reports Criticising AEW Return
Andrade El Idolo vented his frustration.
On the October 1 edition of Dynamite, Andrade made history when he re-signed with AEW. By becoming All Elite for a second time, he became the first person to jump from WWE to AEW twice.
However, his return to AEW has been met with skepticism by some sections of the media following claims that Andrade didn’t leave the company on good terms at the end of 2023. This departure came after several months of speculation and reports suggesting that he was trying to force his way out of the company.
According to a report from Dave Meltzer, AEW is “asking for trouble” by bringing Andrade back. As noted by Meltzer, people who know the star claimed that he’ll always see Tony Khan and AEW as less than WWE.
Andrade El Idolo Hits Back
In a post on social media addressing the reports from Meltzer, Andrade accused the veteran reporter of “talking sh*t without proof” and “killing the business.”
@davemeltzerWON You talk too much sh*t without proof, and Sir, I’ll only tell you one thing: when my contract with AEW ended, I personally went man to man to thank MR. TONY KHAN for the opportunity to be in AEW, and that’s all I’ll tell you. If I wanted to talk more, I would show you that you’re wrong about many things. But you keep killing the business!
Yo le deseo lo mejor!!
Less than a month after leaving WWE, Andrade El Idolo has already won his first piece of championship gold. In his first match since leaving the company, the star won The Crash Heavyweight Championship.
