All Ex-WWE Stars In AEW Will Return To Company, Says Legend
Several WWE stars have defected to AEW since its formation in 2019.
While Cody Rhodes played a major role in setting it up, superstars like Chris Jericho, Jon Moxley, Daniel Bryan (Bryan Danielson), Christian Cage, and Adam Copeland (Edge) joined later.
In the mean time, the likes of CM Punk, Aleister Black, and Rusev rejoined the Stamford promotion after leaving AEW.
Elsewhere, a WWE Hall of Famer believes that more wrestlers, including Moxley, will return.
Speaking on a recent Busted Open Radio podcast, Bully Ray said:
Everybody will eventually come back to the WWE because if their eyes haven’t been opened already, their eyes will eventually open, they will get every drop of money they can possibly get out of that company, and then they’ll get frustrated or realize this is not it for me anymore. Yes, I do believe everybody will eventually come back. [H/T: WrestlingInc]
There’s already a buzz generated among fans about the possible return of Chris Jericho or Edge to the Stamford-based company.
As for Moxley, should the 39-year-old star choose to jump back to WWE, he may be forced to pursue a singles career, as Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins have moved on from their ‘SHIELD’ days.
AEW Run Made WWE Legend Contemplate Retirement
Matt Hardy recently looked back on his time in AEW.
The former WWE Champion signed up with great hopes, but his underwhelming progress made him contemplate retirement.
The 51-year-old spoke about one of the lowest points of his wrestling career, further revealing that moving to TNA from AEW reignited his passion.
During those times in AEW, there were times where both myself and Jeff, especially me when I was there and I wasn’t really do anything, it just made me question, why am I still doing this? I love this, but it kind of doesn’t feel like something I love right now.
Ultimately, what we needed to do was leave and go to TNA, and then we found that again. And I am as much in love with the business as I have ever been this year. [H/T: Wrestling Observer]
