Alicia Atout Reacts To MJF’s Quick AEW Return After Their Wedding
MJF still has his eyes on the prize.
On the September 6 edition of Collision, MJF made a surprise appearance just 24 hours after marrying his partner and fellow AEW star Alicia Atout.
Several AEW stars were on hand to celebrate the occasion, including “Hangman” Adam Page, Sammy Guevara, Tay Melo, Darby Allin, Taz, Hook, Daniel Garcia, and Jeff Jarrett.
However, with MJF still determined to make Mark Briscoe’s life as difficult as possible, it seems a honeymoon will have to wait for the new Mrs. Friedman.
Atout reacted to husband’s AEW return on social media.
Nah, that’s cool. I didn’t want to go on a honeymoon with my new husband anyway. 🙄 @The_MJF
MJF Costs Mark Briscoe
Fresh off the back of his big day, MJF was quickly back to the day job and his rivalry with Mark Briscoe. In the main event of Collision, Briscoe took on Konosuke Takeshita, knowing that if he won, he’d earn a shot at Kyle Fletcher’s TNT Championship.
However, just as he was closing on victory, the ‘Salt of the Earth’ emerged to shove him from the top rope. This opened the door for Takeshita to see off Briscoe and get his hand raised.
As has become tradition, MJF and Briscoe brawled after the match, and once they’d been pulled apart, the former AEW World Champion finally told Briscoe to name his time, place, and stipulation for a match. Briscoe quickly set the match for All Out, but said he’d wait to choose a stipulation.
Also on Collision, it was announced that Jon Moxley will face Darby Allin at All Out in a Coffin Match. The announcement came after Moxley had seen off the challenge of Daniel Garcia, who is growing increasingly frustrated with losing big matches.
