Alexa Bliss Heaps Praise On Two Rising NXT Stars
Alexa Bliss has praised WWE’s next generation.
Shortly after WrestleMania 41, three of the biggest stars in NXT were moved to the main roster. This has seen Roxanne Perez join Judgment Day and carry one-half of the Women’s Tag Team Championship, Giulia win the Women’s United States Championship, and Stephanie Vaquer earn an upcoming shot at the Women’s World Championship.
However, there’s even more talent working to impress week in and week out in NXT, waiting for a shot to follow the trio to the main roster.
Alexa Bliss Praises Talented NXT Stars
In a new interview with TV Insider, Alexa Bliss looked back on sharing the ring with Zaria and Sol Ruca at Evolution. She said that WWE’s women’s division is in safe hands going forward, as the pair, and many others in NXT, are incredibly talented.
Bliss’ comments come after it was reported that some WWE figures are pushing for Sol Ruca to be moved to the main roster imminently.
“Our roster is incredible, especially NXT where everyone is so freakin’ talented. It was really cool to see the tag match we had with Sol Ruca and Zaria. It was really fun because they are just super talented. It just shows the division is going to be in great hands because these girls are all just incredible.”
At Evolution, Zaria and Ruca, as well as Flair and Bliss, came up short in their efforts to win the Women’s Tag Team Championship, but the SmackDown stars were quick to work their way into a rematch.
This time, the match was a regular tag team bout at SummerSlam, and Bliss and Flair beat Rodriguez and Perez to claim the gold. Following the show, Charlotte Flair said the win was one of the favourite moments of her entire career. She also candidly admitted that she initially had no desire to team with Bliss.
To celebrate their victory, Charlotte Flair presented Bliss with an unusual gift on SmackDown alongside a birthday cake.
