AJ Styles Planning Shocking New Look
The legendary AJ Styles is planning to make a change to his appearance when the time is right.
Over the course of the last 25 years, wrestling fans have come to know AJ Styles well. Styles actually started nationally with WCW during the company’s final days in the early 2000s, and then he became one of TNA’s workhorses, launching a run that lasted over a decade. From there, Styles had great success in New Japan as an IWGP World Champion.
It was nearly a decade ago at Royal Rumble 2016 when AJ Styles finally became a WWE superstar in his late 30s. Later that year, he won the first of his two WWE Titles, and he would go on to have a career that would see him be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame one day.
The 48-year-old AJ Styles has made it clear that he plans to retire as an active wrestler in 2026. While Styles is still performing at a high level as a World Tag Team Champion with Dragon Lee on the Raw brand, he knows that the end is near.
It may be the end of his famous long hair, too. Styles has maintained a long hairstyle for decades, but he told Inside The Ropes that his wife doesn’t love the look, so a change could be coming. Styles has been married for 25 years and has four kids with his wife.
“According to my wife, it’s going to be cut soon. Like, it’s getting way too long and she doesn’t like it. So she’s repeatedly telling me I’m going to have to cut a couple inches off — which is fine. Not cut it all off now.
But when retirement finally comes, that will be the first thing that goes… probably the hair.”
AJ Styles May Shave His Hair Off After Retiring
Following his retirement as a wrestler, AJ Styles went on to claim that he could shave his head.
“I’m thinking about it. I’m thinking about a full shave — just go completely gone. All of it. But the thing is, if I want to grow out my hair after doing that, it’s going to look really silly. There’s always that point.”
The Phenomenal One would go on to joke about some of his past hairstyles, including his “soccer mom” look.
“I mean, you think about the evolution of AJ Styles when he started growing his hair out… it was emo AJ Styles… it was soccer mom AJ Styles… and now it’s too-long AJ Styles.”
As for the World Tag Team Titles, AJ Styles and Dragon Lee will defend those against The New Day’s Kofi Kingston & Xavier Woods on the December 1st edition of WWE Monday Night Raw.
