AJ Styles Forced To Retire Popular Move

AJ Styles is continuing to adjust his moveset.

Although he’s still earning praise for his in-ring performances in his mid-40s, AJ Styles is well aware that Father Time remains undefeated.

For much of his career, Styles has been widely regarded as one of the best in-ring performers on the planet with an incredibly deep bag of tricks when the bell rings. However, the former World Champion has admitted he’s been forced to move on from some of his flashier, high-flying moves.

During an interview with SHAK Wrestling, Styles told fans he won’t be pulling out the Spiral Tap any time soon.

“If you’ve ever heard, ‘If you don’t use it, you lose it,’ that’s 100% the case,” Styles said. “It’s a very awkward way to flip and do some stuff. And I had put it on the backburner for so long, I just lost it. And it’s in my head, but if I can’t pull it off the way that I want to do it, I don’t want to do it at all. I haven’t even attempted it on a trampoline, in a pool, nothing. It’s there for the [Will] Ospreays or anybody else who wants to do it.”

AJ Styles Closing On Retirement

Speaking elsewhere, AJ Styles admitted he’s nearing retirement.

Ahead of WrestleMania 40, Styles said he’s begun to worry he will embarrass himself in the ring, adding he’s hurting every day just getting out of bed. The former WWE Champion explained that he hopes to hang up his boots while he’s still somewhere close to his peak.
