With two matches already in the history book, we’re halfway through John Cena’s final WWE event as an in-ring competitor. The Never Seen 17 is now only one match away from hanging up his boots.

Tonight’s show has been extremely entertaining till now, as both singles NXT vs main roster matches on the night have been concluded. While there was no winner in the Oba Femi vs Cody Rhodes match, Sol Ruca won her match against Bayley.

The penultimate match of the night saw WWE World Tag Team Champions AJ Styles and Dragon Lee take on the rising duo of Leon Slater and Je’Von Evans. Evans recently reminded the fans of what he can do in the ring as he defeated The Miz last night on SmackDown.

The match between these two teams was expected to be a highly entertaining one given the quality that these four wrestlers posses and it delivered on its promise. Some high-flying, quick-paced action was on offer as both teams put on a show for the fans.

The younger team of Evans and Slater almost came away with the win after Evans hit the OG Cutter on Styles and Slater followed it up with a Swanton 450 splash. Styles was about to be pinned before Dragon Lee hit a dropkick on Evans, who fell on Slater and AJ, breaking up the pin.

The World Tag Team Champions ultimately came away with the win and continued their undefeated streak as a team after AJ caught Slater from the top rope and hit the Styles Clash on Leon Slater to seal the win.
