AJ Lee’s Next Massive WWE Move Predicted

AJ Lee made her in-ring return at WWE Wrestlepalooza 2025.

Lee returned to the ring amidst her husband CM Punk’s rivalry with the WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins and his wife, and the WWE Intercontinental Champion Becky Lynch. The babyface couple faced the heel duo at WWE’s inaugural event, Wrestlepalooza, on September 20 and walked out of the match as the victors.

Earlier this month, the WWE Universe found out that Lee’s return to WWE is not just a one-off appearance; rather, she’s here to stay for a long time. The Geek Goddess has signed a multi-year, full-time contract.

AJ Lee Could Go After Becky Lynch’s Intercontinental Championship

As WWE heads towards Crown Jewel next, the question lingers: What does the future hold for AJ Lee? Wrestling analyst Sam Roberts provided an answer for that.

He stated Lee might get involved in a one-on-one feud with Becky Lynch for the WWE Intercontinental Championship. He added that WWE could stretch this rivalry for a long period without risking boredom among the fans.

It’s just a natural thing now to go to Becky Lynch and AJ Lee with the thought that AJ Lee could win the Intercontinental Championship. She’s as credible as it gets, but because she’s so credible that she doesn’t have to. That if Becky Lynch is able to get one of her slick pins on AJ Lee that it’ll be fine for AJ Lee.

It’ll just extend that rivalry further and I think it’ll be a long time. I think you’ve got quite a bit of legs on this thing. I think it’ll be a while before you hear anybody complaining about Becky Lynch versus AJ Lee matches. So, that was exactly what it should be. (From 33:34)
