AJ Lee WWE Ring

AJ Lee returned to the ring tonight after over a decade. This is also the first time she went on against Becky Lynch in a match.

Lee wanted to start the match; however, Rollins was in the ring, so Punk stepped inside, but Lynch tagged herself in. The champion couple started their mind games early in the match. Punk took out Rollins with a suicide dive, and that’s how the match started. Lynch choked Punk while the referee was distracted. Lee retaliated by attacking Rollins from the apron.

Rollins and Punk took the match to the ringside for a while before returning to the ring. Rollins tormented Punk as Lee desperately waited to get tagged in. Somehow, Punk managed to make the tag, but the referee didn’t see it. Rollins tried to use his wife as a weapon, but Punk moved out of harm’s way, and Lynch landed face-first into the mat.

Punk went in for the tag a second time, but Lynch dragged Lee off the apron, causing her to crash land ringside. Punk landed a GTS on Rollins and went for another tag. Lynch tried to stop Punk but failed. Lee came into the ring and launched herself at the WWE Women’s Intercontinental Champion.

CM Punk and AJ Lee Defeat Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch

Rollins tried to interfere and got slapped hard in the face. The babyface couple then double-teamed to take out the heels. Lee tried to put Lynch in The Black Widow, but Lynch countered with ManHandle slam. Lee was successful in putting Lynch in Black Widow second time. Rollins tried to break it, only to get put into a sharpshooter by Punk.

Rollins managed to escape, and the heels put the babyfaces in a double pedigree and a double cover, but Punk and Lee kicked out. The ending segment of the match saw Lee put Lynch in a Black Widow for the third time and pick up the victory with submission as Lynch tapped out.
